Attention MOPS moms! There will not be a MOPS meeting at church this month due to the current weather situation with the potiential for more incliment weather. Please spread the word to your friends that attend MOPS with you. We will not reschedule the January meeting. However we will have our MOPS play date on Thursday January 21st at Wacky World. The price is $5 per preschooler. Babies to 2 year olds are free if they are with a paying sibling.

January Meeting this week!
Hello MOPS moms.
I am excited to tell you about this months meeting that is coming up this week. I look forward to seeing each one of your beautiful faces on Thursday. It seems like forever since I have seen you. I hope and pray that each of you had a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. I always love this time of year because it helps us become "grounded" on what our roles are as a mother, wife and Christian. Our first meeting of 2010 is going to be a good one.
Our Activity this month is the Women's Clothing Swap. Please bring a laundry basket or trash bag full of clean, gently used clothing. It can be any size from XS- XXL including maternity clothes if you wish. You can also bring shoes, purses and accessories. Remember it is only womens clothes...no kids clothes or mens clothes.
Also this year we are doing a one toy swap. Bring ONE toy that is clean from home. We will do a toy exchange as well. This event is A LOT of fun and I can't think of a better way to clean out our closets, get new clothing, and give to a charity. All the left over items will be taken to LEAST of THESE for families in need.
Our scripture this month is Matthew 6:19-21.
Treasures in Heaven
"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also".
